How it is calculated
Since 2009
Teams are awarded ranking points by their place in their class: 1st scores 10, 2nd scores 8, then 3rd to 8th score 6 down to 1. The four highest-ranked teams per country are added together, whatever class they flew in, and the highest total takes the sword.
Before 2009 the calculation added the actual scores of the two best teams per class per country.
